From the Greek syn (union joint) - aisthesis (perception). Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which stimulation in one sense causes a perception in another sense automatic. There are dozens of forms of synesthesia. The most common is the view of each letter or number of a different color. And the colors assigned to each letter of the alphabet also differ from person to person. Some synesthetes "see" sound, others feel the taste of words or forms, the smell of the objects that play, see images by eating certain foods, and other mixed feelings.
Synesthesia is a multi-sensory and multimedia exhibition where the public is housed in a facility where you can manipulate and feel the exhibits and asked to see projections of photos, videos, music and poetry (those recorded in its Brazilian version by renowned artists on the national scene and Paulo José, Othon Bastos, Eva Wilma, Adriana and João Falcão, etc..) that has to do with each other and the space itself, in a MIX of feeling unusual and unprecedented. The spectator interferes all the time and space in the work by adding your own elements and art in the form of texts (with chalk on the walls or poles with pieces of notebook paper written by them), objects used in the branches of two sculptures in bright and scenically form of artistic interventions throughout the season of exposure.
The search for new possibilities of perception for the audience results in more creative work of artist Léo Miranda, who has in his theater training, photography, music and design. Moving through these areas for over 10 years and having worked with renowned professionals such as Gabriel Vilella, Bruno Barreto, Ana Maria de Magalhães and Guel Arraes.
In a globalized world where we are bombarded with information from all sides, we can say that there is enough time for contemplation of his own synesthesia in which we are submerged. This project aims to reverse this situation almost "indifference" and restarting the viewer consciously with their own human condition, feelings, memories, perceptions through sensory stimuli.
Merging technology, poetry, music and photography, the exhibition synesthesia is globalized and current, finding space for their implementation wherever you move. There are no barriers to the enjoyment of this book that touches the public in all its senses.
